Becoming the Next Version of You

August is a month of transition. Summer is beginning to wind down, routines are about to change, and a new season is on the horizon. Before life becomes busier, this is the perfect opportunity to refocus, recommit, and continue growing. This month, we're not starting over. We're building on everything we've accomplished so far. You've spent the year creating healthy habits, strengthening your mindset, and making wellness part of your lifestyle. Now it's time to elevate. Not because you aren't enough—but because there is always another level of growth waiting for you.

Welcome to August! Can you believe we're already eight months into the year? Take a moment and think back to January. Remember the goals you set, the promises you made to yourself, and the excitement you felt about becoming healthier. Now ask yourself this: Where am I today? Not to judge yourself. Not to criticize yourself. But to honestly evaluate your journey. As your coach, I want you to understand something important: A reset is not a setback. A reset is an opportunity. It's a chance to pause, reflect, make adjustments, and move forward with purpose.

Celebrate Before You Correct One of the biggest mistakes we make is focusing only on what we haven't accomplished. Instead, I want you to celebrate what you have accomplished. Maybe you've become more consistent with your workouts. Maybe you're drinking more water than you were at the beginning of the year. Maybe you're making healthier food choices. Maybe your mindset has become more positive. Maybe you're finally putting yourself on your own priority list. Celebrate those victories. Growth isn't measured only by pounds lost. It's measured by the habits you've built and the person you're becoming.

Refocus on What Matters Now that you've celebrated your progress, it's time to ask yourself a few honest questions. Am I still working toward my goals with intention? Have I allowed distractions to pull me away from my routine? Am I taking care of my mental, physical, and emotional health? Sometimes life gets busy. Vacations happen. Schedules change. Unexpected challenges come our way. That's life. But remember, your wellness journey should grow with your life—not stop because life gets busy. This is your opportunity to refocus on the habits that matter most.

Nutrition, Recovery and Energy: The Missing Keys to Building Strength and Lasting Wellness
Angela C. Richardson explains why proper nutrition, intentional recovery, and balanced energy are just as important as exercise when building a stronger body, mind, and life.

Recommit to Yourself Recommitting doesn't mean starting from the beginning. It means picking up where you are and moving forward. You already know what works. You've spent months building discipline, confidence, and healthy routines. Trust what you've learned. If your workouts have become inconsistent, recommit to your schedule. If your nutrition has slipped, recommit to planning your meals. If your mindset has been challenged, recommit to speaking life over yourself every day. Small adjustments today can create big results tomorrow.

Angela C. Richardson shares how pushing through low-motivation days, separating feelings from actions, and staying consistent leads to lasting physical and mental transformation.

Elevate Your Standards As we begin this new month, I want to challenge you to raise your standards—not because someone else expects more from you, but because you've grown. The person you are today is stronger than the person you were in January. You know more. You've experienced more. You've overcome more. Don't settle for old habits that no longer serve the person you're becoming. Continue choosing the habits that align with your goals. Continue choosing yourself.

Coach's Challenge This week, write down three things: - One habit you're proud of. - One habit you need to strengthen. - One goal you're committing to before the end of August. Keep those three things where you can see them every day. Let them remind you why you started and where you're going. Reflection What is one area of my life where I can reset with purpose instead of starting over? Remember... You don't need a new year to become a better version of yourself. You just need a willing heart, a clear vision, and the courage to keep going. Let's make August a month of intentional growth. Let's elevate together

August Monthly Challenge: Elevate Every Day Each day: - ✅ Move your body for at least 30 minutes. - ✅ Fuel your body with intention. - ✅ Drink your daily water goal. - ✅ Spend 10 minutes in prayer, meditation, or journaling. - ✅ Write down one way you elevated yourself that day. August Reminder Don't let the changing season change your commitment. You are not the same person who started this journey. You've grown. You've become stronger. Now it's time to elevate, evolve, and continue becoming the healthiest version of yourself.
