Civic Engagement: National Night Out 2026 Brings Atlantic City Communities Together for Family Fun, Free Food and Police Partnerships

The Annual Event to
Build Better Bonds between Community and Police

ATLANTIC CITY– Tonight is National Night Out in Atlantic City and most of the cities across NJ.

National Night Out is an annual event that brings together the community members and organizations for some fun, food and entertainment with local police.

The Atlantic City site usually includes music, tables set up by various non-profits and vendors, the police on the grill serving free hamburgers and hot dogs, lots of children at the playground and appearances by elected officials and candidates running for office.

The highlight of the event in Atlantic City may be the bike give a way.

Every year some lucky Atlantic City residents, who happen to be children, ride away with a brand-new bike provided by ACPD.

National Night out either in Atlantic City, your town or a town near you offers an opportunity to get to know and see your local police serving the community, get to know some of the non-profits and organizations, and to get some fresh air.
