The Memorial Day Weekend After Dark Review of the Weekend
I have not finalized July 4th plans yet but here is a review of what I did Memorial Day Weekend.

I wrote a preview of my weekend plans for Memorial Day and I got a lot of great feedback.
Some of the nosier or I will say inquisitive readers wanted to know if I made all the parties, if they were all good and what have I got planned for July 4th. I have not finalized July 4th plans yet but here is a review of what I did Memorial Day Weekend.

Friday May 23rd-Live Radio At WPPM FM 106.5
Allison Durham is the station Manager at FM 106.5 WPPM in Philadelphia.
I spent the 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. hours with Allison, spinning classics.
From, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. we hosted an on air 80's Party as part of their annual membership drive.
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., was my regular mixing shift. I hosted the Philadelphia edition of The Light live. The radio show The Light started in Philadelphia.
That was fun and in another article I will share how we helped WPPM reach their goal of $10,000 for their annual fund drive.
HERBERT HOLLAR'S FREEDOM PARTY

Spoiler Alert - The Herbert Hollar Freedom Party is always a can't miss. Every time it's a 10-out-of-10 thing.
Okay, one thing that is a problem right now is parking. There is only one lot in the area and if you come late, you can spend most of the night trying to figure a back up plan.
As far as everything else goes. The Freedom Party was a fun night with good people, pretty women, and Herbert serving up the classics all night.
I only stopped dancing long enough to chat it up with one pretty woman or another and other friends that met me there. I always run into old friends and make new friends.
Saturday May 24th-The WDAS White Party At Harrahs In Chester

I love the WDAS parties. I'm easy. Put me in a room with grown ups and great music and I'm happy.
I love the free parking at Harrah's Chester. I have to rate my night with WDAS at solid 7-out-of-10.
Sunday, May 25th- DEE JAY The DJ's 90's Vs. 2000's Party

I have to admit DEE JAY was in a great groove.
The crowd was a tad younger than I usually do. The crowd had fun.
I was on the water at Moshulu. The music was great.
I will rate this night, for me, a 6-out-of-10. I suspect the younger people 25 to 40 years old, had a much better time so I would say their experience would have been 9-out-of-10.
Monday May 26th, Smoke On The Water
The only problem with Smoke On The Water is parking. There's so much construction and only one lot near Moshulu. However, the crowd of beautiful grown ups that attend the Smoke On The Water Parties, never disappoints.
DJ Flow on the mix ...he wins every time.
I rate Smoke On The Water a 9-out-of-10. When the parking situation improves, it will be a solid 11 out of 10.
There was another party on Saturday March 24, 2025. that I missed. I heard it was nice. I also want to give a thank you to La Quinta Inn and Suites of Mount Laurel/Moorestown. I always stay in Cherry Hill and drive over to Philly. I truly loved my experience with La Quinta, they helped make my Memorial Day Weekend a success for me.
Over all I would rate my Memorial Day Weekend in Philadelphia an 8-out-of-10 experience. Parking in Philadelphia is always going to affect my experience and it's why I never stay in Philadelphia when I come for the weekend. (If you have to stay in Philadelphia look for something out by the air port.)
