The Heat: Atlantic City Focus Hosts Michael Jackson vs. Prince Day Party at Beat The Daily Grind
Music lovers, artists and fans gathered in Atlantic City for an afternoon of live performances, art, games and a celebration of two legendary music icons.
ATLANTIC CITY- On Sunday June 28, 2026, at 3 p.m., Atlantic City Focus along with sponsors Beat The Daily Grind, T Marquise Entertainment, Exhale beauty projects, Revitalize, and Miller Chiropractic Wellness Center brought a creative Day Party and Cultural experience to Atlantic City and Beat The Daily Grind.
The event was The Heat: MJ Vs. Prince.
Music, art and culture lovers of all kinds met at Beat The Daily Grind Coffee shop to celebrate the music and rivalry between Michael Jackson and Prince.
Ray "The Closer" also known as the Atlantic City Focus Arts and Entertainment Editor played the hits by MJ and Prince as well as several B-sides and rare gems.
Tyler, also served as game show host...playing question and answer man to several people who came to play for fun and prizes. Games included trivia, "Would you rather have Joe Jackson or Francis L as a dad?"...and in this clip two people debate "If they would rather have a speaking role in Purple Rain or a solo spot in We Are The World."
MJ Vs. Prince also featured live performances by April Chocolate Girl and VADA Maverick.
The event also included a SIP and SKETCH session with Lamar Roberts.
There were prizes given out for live art. Award winning artist Quinton Greene and the Atlantic City Arts Foundations' Tina Notaro picked these winners.
