The Frontcourt Masters Tournament Returns to a New Venue on Aug. 8 and 9
VENTNOR – The organization Frontcourt Masters is coming back to the Atlantic City/South Jersey area for the fifth straight year.
Frontcourt Masters brings together men 35 years of age and older to play basketball across the globe including an annual game at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.
This year Frontcourt Masters will welcome a new Atlantic City Team of 50-year-old men that will play another 50-year-old team.
While this will be the first time Atlantic City will field a 50 and over team, Atlantic City's 60 and over team, The Sixty-Sixers, will be back again to compete for the trophy in their age group.
This also will be the first year that the tournament will take place at the Ventnor Educational Community Complex.
Atlantic City Focus caught up with Atlantic City Sixty Sixers coach/GM Wayne Dill and a couple of members of the 50 and over and 60 and over teams playing pickup basketball at Jerome Avenue in Margate
Two of the members of the 60 and over team talked to Atlantic City Focus about why they continue to play with Frontcourt Masters each year.
Come on out to The Ventnor Educational Community Complex this Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m., to support our 50- and 60-plus teams as they tip off against teams from New York, DC and other cities.
