On Friday April 26, 2024 the Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, lead out in a ceremony to rename the corner of Grant Avenue and Ohio Avenue in Atlantic City. The ceremony saw the unveiling of signage that now honors one of Atlantic City's most beloved citizens , the late Dr. Juanita J. High.

Dr. High passed away on January 24, 2024. She was known throughout the region as a consummate educator.

Among the many who gathered to remember Dr. High, and witness the unveiling were: Mayor Marty Small, Sr., City Council President Aaron "Sporty" Randolph, City Council Member and NAACP President Kaleem Shabazz, many of her sisters from the AKA organization as well several of Dr. High's colleagues from Stockton University.
