Mayor Small, Challenger  Khan Face off in Atlantic City Debate

ATLANTIC CITY – The Fannie Lou Hamer Room of Stockton University was the setting for Tuesday Night's debate between Mayor Marty Small and his challenger Naeem Khan.

There was standing room only in the Fannie Lou Hamer room as more than a hundred people packed the venue to witness the Small/Khan debate on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Khan, the challenger answered almost every question with a concern for safety and tourism. Khan also voiced his support for New Jersey Republican Gubernatorial Candidate for Jack Ciattarelli.

Small answered his questions with accomplishments and progress on issues, having been in office for six years as mayor.

The topics included safety, youth services, public and minority health, food insecurity and development of non-casino business, revenue and careers.
