THE ARTISTS:
- E.B. LEWIS: The award winning illustrator and fine artist, E.B. Lewis has illustrated more than a hundred books for children. Inspired by two artist uncles, as early as the third grade, Lewis displayed artistic promise. Beginning in the sixth grade, he attended the Saturday Morning Art League and studied with Clarence Wood. Lewis attended the Temple University Tyler School of Art, where, he discovered his medium of preference was watercolor. During his four years at Temple, Lewis majored in Graphic Design, Illustration and Art Education. After graduating, he taught art in public schools for twelve years. Presently, E.B. teaches at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He is also a member of The Society of Illustrators in New York City, and an artist member of Salamagundi Art Club of New York. In 2003, the Kerlan Collection at the University of Minnesota purchased a collection of original watercolors from E.B.’s first fifty children’s books. Today, his works are displayed in museums, owned by private collectors, and sold by art galleries throughout the United States and Europe.

The Afro-American Historical and Cultural Museum featured Jose’s work and he also had the distinction of having his art displayed as part of The Philadelphia Art at City Hall. The Phillip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art at Ursinus College, Collegeville, PA hosted the Philadelphia Watercolor Society's international exhibition where he was awarded a monetary prize. - NASTASSIA DAVIS: Nastassia is a graduate of Montclair State University with a BA in Fine Arts Studio and minor in African-American Studies. As the photographer, subject and editor to all her self-portraits, Nastassia is a one-woman powerhouse. She is literally a DIY production army, creating col-orful, surreal-like digital interpretations from her imagination. Whether inspired by lyrics to her favorite song, a ground-breaking political story, or personal idea, Nastassia uses herself and a digital camera to question stereotypes and make statements through the power of photos. Since 2012, she’s continued teaching photography workshops through her “Light Shooters” courses to provide a creative outlet for self-expression.
- JOHN MORRIS: John Morris is South Jersey mixed media artist who specializes in all forms of art. From murals to clothing, he uses any material he can get his hands on to express what is truly under the surface. Morris became recognized in the early 2000s for his urban-inspired paintings and clothing. He has worked with other artists as part of Atlantic City’s creative scene, creating art that brings connection and vibrancy to the community. As a traveling muralist with more than 30 years of experience in the art world and clothing design, his work reflects a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and aims to bring beauty and inspiration to each location he visits. Through collaborations with local organizations, schools, and businesses, his journey is driven by a passion for art, travel, and meaningful connections, enriching both the spaces I beautify and the people I meet.
- VALERIA J. MARCUS: Valeria graduated with a BFA from Moore College of Art & Design, Philadelphia, PA. She completed her thesis while spending time at a home for abused children, that began her slow journey to research and study child abuse in depth for the last four decades. She sold her first oil painting as a teenager, and first published photography assignment while still a student at Moore. Valeria continues to exhibit and sell her art throughout the nation. Valeria has served as a curator on a few exhibitions in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She has worked as a photojournalist with various newspapers and publications. She also worked as a social caseworker for the City of Atlantic City for twelve years. In 2022, the Noyes Museum of Art at Stockton University acquired two oil paintings for their permanent collection.
