The ECBACC is the first bona fide “Black Comic Book Convention” in Philadelphia, PA, and serves as a replicable model for community-based comic book conventions.

The East Coast Black Age of Comic Book Convention is a place where artists of all races and colors come to celebrate sci- fi, comics and fantasy with fans of all ages.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy their favorite super heroes of color like the character Marvel's Black Panther or DC's Black Lightning. People can also find out about new characters from independent creators.

You can also expect to see fans cos-play as their favorite Black Super Heroes and sometimes real life heroes such as Black Civil War soldiers. ECBACC also offers a chance to meet comic book and sci-fi creators in their market place.

ECBACC offers a diverse selection of film screenings and panels, each year.

ECBACC will also have free workshops to teach kids ,and some kids over 21 years of age, how to bring their own comic book heroes to life on a page, computer or to life as a cos-player.

New this year will be an open mic for sci-fi/fantasy themed poetry and spoken word sponsored by www.Blacksci-fi.com.

The east Coast Black Age of Comic Book Convention is an opportunity to celebrate your imagination as a life long comic book fan. ECBACC is also a great place to bring children who may already love to read, write, draw and imagine or where that spark to create may ignite.
