GOTV Rally Draws Democratic Gubernatorial Nominee Sherrill, AC Mayor Small, and Newark Mayor Baraka

ATLANTIC CITY — On Tuesday September 23, 2025, days after a heated debate with her Republican opponent, Democratic Nominee for Governor, Mikie Sherrill made a campaign stop at Second Baptist Church.

She opened the Get Out The Vote Rally by discussing her platform and her vision for New Jersey. Sherill also took the time to discuss her opponent Jack Ciattarelli and policies she (Sherrill) says align with President Donald Trump.

She ended by asking the crowd for their vote and to dedicate some hard work between that Tuesday and election day.

Atlantic City Mayor, Marty Small Sr. followed Mikie Sherrill at The Get Out The Vote Rally. Mayor, Small ignited the crowd with a distinctly stern tone that he himself described as angry.

Small's anger was aimed squarely at President Donald Trump, as Small said that the President harmed Atlantic City during his time here as a casino owner. Small then took aim at the local Republicans but refused to call his opponent in the November election by name.

Following Mayor Small, was Ras Baraka, the Mayor of The City of Newark, NJ.

Mayor Baraka's speech was focused on people getting out to vote and encouraging others to vote.

Election day for New Jersey and Atlantic City is Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
