New Jersey is a state that holds some kind of election every year. So producer, Raymond Tyler decided that every Tuesday, The Light would share some election information. Listeners can hear clips from debates, candidate night events, interviews with candidates and concerned citizens.
Tim Alexander was invited to sit down for an CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: Election Day Tuesday interview for the following reasons.
A - Tim Alexander has run serious campaigns for congress. He knows what it's like to be on the road every day, trying to get people to the poles to support his platform.
B - Tim Alexander is not running currently but as a concerned community member and activist, Alexander continues to work for the betterment of his community. Alexander also continues to invest in the type of world he wants to see.
C - The fact that Tim Alexander is not running for office, made him uniquely able to answer tough questions as candidly and he wanted. Raymond Tyler felt more comfortable asking follow ups that might scare some candidates.
Tim Alexander and Raymond Tyler spent a little less than an hour on air discussing housing, Democrats, Republicans, and took questions from listeners via text messages.
