CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: New MBCA Park Opens in Atlantic City Today With Ribbon-Cutting Celebration
New Midtown public space at North Carolina and Pacific avenues brings together local art, community partnerships and functional public art.

ATLANTIC CITY – A new public space created through a collaboration of local businesses, organizations and artists will officially open Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The new MBCA Park, located at the corner of North Carolina and Pacific Avenues, is described by The Arts Foundation as "a collaborative placemaking project bringing together local businesses and organizations to create a new public space in Midtown."

The Atlantic City Arts Foundation curated a group of local artists including: Christina Trice to paint Adirondack chairs for the park—serving as functional public art.
(Trice has also worked with Atlantic City Focus on several of our community arts projects.)
The Arts Foundation is inviting the community to the park on Tuesday, August 18, for the ribbon cutting, along with light refreshments and music by The Eddie Morgan Duo. The Arts Foundation asks that you please RSVP to comments@acmetbiz.com.
The MBCA Park was made possible through funding and partnership from state Sen. Vince Polistina, along with contributions from George Norcross, AtlantiCare, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority/Special Improvement Division, Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority, MudGirls Studios, Atlantic County Institute of Technology, Arthur R. Henry Inc., Ocean Casino Resort, Midtown Community Development Corporation, the City of Atlantic City, Cafe 2825, CODI, Atlantic City Arts Foundation and Asbury United Methodist Church.
