Van Drew beat Alexander in 2022, garnering 139, 217 votes or 58.9% of total votes counted. Alexander had the next highest vote total in the race with 94,522 or 40% of the votes counted.  Alexander lost the June 2024 primary to Joe Salerno by less than 450 votes, and never got to face Van Drew in the 2024 General Election.

According to his official campaign website, www.timalexander4congress.com Alexander has said that his mission is building a future rooted in justice, equity, and accountability.

On Sunday, July 20, 2025, Alexander stopped by Beat The Daily Grind Cafe to discuss political action during our town hall style event Community, Culture and Conversation.

Alexander is scheduled to sit for another interview with Raymond Tyler live on air during the August 5, 2025, broadcast of The Light powered by Atlantic City Focus on FM 91.7 WLFR. The interview time is scheduled for 1 p.m. . The live broadcast can also be heard via the web stream at www.WLFR.FM. The interview will also be available in its entirety on the Atlantic City Focus website as well.
