EGG HARBOR CITY — Atlantic County Democratic leader Subrata Chowdhury was honored with the Edward Devlin Memorial Award during the Atlantic County Democratic Committee's reorganization meeting on June 23, 2026.
The award was presented at the Teamsters Local 331 Hall in Egg Harbor City by outgoing Atlantic County Democratic Committee Chairman Mike Suleiman and newly elected Chairman Dr. Walid Abdrahim.
According to organizers, Chowdhury received the award in recognition of his outstanding service to the community and his steadfast commitment to the ideals and mission of the Atlantic County Democratic Party.
The reorganization meeting brought together Democratic Party leaders, committee members, candidates seeking office in the upcoming November election cycle, and community leaders from throughout Atlantic County.
Chowdhury has served as an Atlantic County Democratic Committeeperson for four consecutive terms, winning reelection each time. He has also been a longtime member of the Atlantic City Democratic Party, where he has remained actively involved in party activities and community engagement efforts.
The Edward Devlin Memorial Award is presented to individuals whose service and dedication have made a meaningful impact on the Democratic Party and the communities it serves.
