ATLANTIC CITY – The City of Atlantic City marked the beginning of Black History Month on Monday, February 2, 2026, with a “United Together” ceremony held in the City Hall lobby.
Mayor Marty Small, Sr. and City Council Vice President Kaleem Shabazz, who served as Master of Ceremonies, delivered remarks highlighting the importance of recognizing and celebrating Black History Month. The program also included a moment of silence honoring fallen ancestors and loved ones, words of encouragement, and a ceremonial flag raising. The event was organized by the Mayor’s Office of Special Events.
