African American Museum of Southern New Jersey Celebrates Juneteenth 2026 with Culture, Community and Live Entertainment in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY – The African American Museum of Southern New Jersey presented their annual Juneteenth Celebration this year on Friday, June 19, and Saturday June 20, 2026.

The celebration was curated by the African American Museum's founder Ralph Hunter as the museum expanded to the entire Noyes Arts Garage.

The added displays throughout the garage were only part of the two-day event.
Attendees were treated to fresh free meals, community speakers and live entertainment.

The African American Museum Of Southern New Jersey's Juneteenth Celebration offered an alternative to the many outdoor celebrations in parks with louder music. Hunter, curated a family-style celebration for people who would enjoy a day of cool jazz, air conditioning and easy access to a comfortable place to sit.
