ACANA Festival Returns to Philadelphia’s Cherry Street Pier Aug. 2 With Free Celebration of African Culture and Unity

PHILADELPHIA – The PECO Multicultural Series presents the ACANA Festival to celebrate unity, culture, and the vibrant spirit of the Global African Diaspora.
Founded in 2007 as a neighborhood street celebration in Southwest Philadelphia, the ACANA Festival has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated cultural showcases within the PECO Multicultural Series—Philadelphia’s signature lineup of free outdoor summer events presented by PECO Energy and the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation.
The event hosts around ten major African, Caribbean and African American artists, and brings an average of 3,000 audience members.
