AC Beats Holy Spirit! A Photo Gallery From the Annual Thanksgiving Game

ATLANTIC CITY – Thanksgiving Day is still a "game day" for the students, faculty, and alumni of Atlantic City High School and Holy Spirit High School.

The Atlantic City High School Vikings defeated the Holy Spirit Spartans 37-14 in the annual Thanksgiving Day Game! This snapped a seven-year losing streak to Holy Spirit. Some local Thanksgiving high school rivalry games have faded away, but parking at Atlantic City's Jack Eisenstein Sports Complex was at capacity as hundreds came to root for their schools.

This year's outcome was in little doubt as the Atlantic City Vikings were led this year by outstanding quarter back Marvin Burroughs.

The final score was AC Vikings 37 and Holy Spirit Spartans 17.

The annual game is more than an exhibition of football, it is a home coming. Around the stadium you could see alumni wearing team jackets from past years of playing football, cheerleading or other sports like basketball or crew.
