PHOTO GALLERY: Atlantic City Celebrates Opening of New MBCA Park in Midtown

ATLANTIC CITY – Community members, local artists and civic leaders gathered at the corner of North Carolina and Pacific avenues on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, to celebrate the official opening of MBCA Park, a new public space designed to bring art, community and activity to Midtown Atlantic City.

The ribbon-cutting celebration marked the culmination of a collaborative placemaking project involving local businesses, organizations and community partners. The Atlantic City Arts Foundation helped bring an artistic element to the park by curating local artists, including Christina Trice, to transform Adirondack chairs into colorful pieces of functional public art. The celebration also featured light refreshments and music from the Eddie Morgan Duo.

MBCA Park was made possible through funding and partnership from state Sen. Vince Polistina and support from numerous Atlantic City-area businesses, organizations and community partners.
