New Mario Galaxy Movie Trailer Wows Fans with Stunning Graphics and Game Easter Eggs

On January 25, 2026, Nintendo showcased their newest trailer for the Mario Galaxy movie, and I must say the graphics are stunning! Everything looks accurate to the video game, which makes all the worlds feel more immersive. This adventure not only takes us through Mario Galaxy, but also  many different Mario games.

For instance, the Mario Bros. travel to the Sand Kingdom from Mario Odyssey to fix a broken pipe. When the Tostarenans tell them where the pipe is, they enter upon the eerie Inverted Pyramid, and discover Yoshi! He will play a major role in the movie since he is a pivotal character in all of the video games. His design is absolutely adorable, and his voice actually sounds like the character. Even though it is incredibly high pitched, it is perfectly balanced between cute and annoying.

That’s not all though! Birdo will also be featured in this movie. However, she may be an antagonist because she is seen in a heated battle with Princess Peace.

They may be fighting in World Bowser from Mario 3D world because of the presence of Bowser's minions, the slot machines, and similar color themes. 

I still have some lingering questions about the film like Where is Princess Daisy? We’ve seen Yoshi, Birdo, Rosalina, and Bowser Jr, but Daisy is nowhere in sight. Is she going to appear in a later film?  

Why are Mario and Luigi babies at the end of the trailer? Did Bowser Jr. somehow turn them into babies and now there’s a reference to Yoshi’s Island? What is Yoshi holding in his hand while facing off against the T-rex? On a side note, I love the Jurassic Park call back with the T-rex sound effect. 

There are so many questions that have yet to be answered when the movie comes out on April 1, 2026. Hope to see you there!
