My Summer Staycation: A Look back at the season

Technically, the summer season doesn't end until September 22, 2025, but for most of us, the Labor Day weekend is considered the last hurrah. Atlantic City and the surrounding Southern New Jersey area offered quite a bit of entertainment and recreation that varied from concerts, conventions, networking events, community social gatherings and even a massive wedding and vowel ceremony.

When anyone claims that there is nothing to do in Atlantic City, I can easily dismiss that claim with photos of events that continue to draw residents of the community together as well as visiting vacationers. There was so much to do this summer that I am amazed at the events that I could get to like DJ Cassidy's Pass the Mic show at the Hard Rock Casino or the Maxwell concert at the Borgata. So as I celebrate the final days Summer, I know the Fall season will be both event filled and entertaining.

The 25th Annual Jazz On The Beach Free Concert series was every Thursday until September 4th, 2025. The free summer tradition featured some Atlantic City's finest local musicians that included the Eddie Morgan led group Rek'd 4 Jazz (Rudy Gaye on guitar, Ahmad Taylor on sax, Jeff Burnside on drums, Darryl Robinson on Keyboards and flute, and Marcus Elliott on trombone).
