Free College Readiness Program from Atlantic Cape Helps High School Class of 2026 Prepare for College-Level English and Math
Atlantic Cape Community College’s College Readiness Now initiative offers free online placement preparation courses for local high school seniors.
High school seniors across Atlantic County have an opportunity to strengthen their college readiness through a free academic program offered by Atlantic Cape Community College.
The College Readiness Now (CRN) initiative, funded by the State of New Jersey, partners Atlantic Cape with local high schools to help students graduate prepared for college-level English and math courses. The program is offered at no cost to students or school districts and is designed specifically for members of the high school Class of 2026.

Two online instructional options will be available this spring through live, synchronous remote classes.
An ENGL-080 Reading and Writing course will run from March 23 through May 20, 2026, with classes held on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.. The course focuses on strengthening reading comprehension and writing skills needed for college-level coursework.
Students can also enroll in a Math Boot Camp, scheduled March 24 through May 21, 2026, meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.. The sessions are designed to reinforce core math skills and prepare students for college placement expectations.
According to program guidelines, students who demonstrate the required skills early in the program may complete the requirements before the end of the full session schedule.
The College Readiness Now program aims to give students a head start on academic success while helping them avoid remedial coursework once they begin college.
For additional information or questions about enrollment, students and families can contact Dr. Kevin Coopersmith, Senior Manager of Early College Programs at Atlantic Cape Community College, at kcoopers@atlanticcape.edu.
