EA Reveals The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Expansion Ahead of February Release

On January 22, 2026, EA released the gameplay trailer for the Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy "Nobility" expansion pack! The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack is scheduled for release on February 12, 2026.

There are lots of decisions to be made that can shape your sim’s image. So, let’s go over some!

First off, starting as a noble newcomer, you can climb the ranks to become a respected ruler of the kingdom by gaining favor from people around you. For instance, if a commoner causes property damage to a royal, their deeds can be pardoned, and the townsfolk will love you, but the royals won’t be so pleased.

However, if you decide to charge exceedingly high taxes on the poor, you’ll gain the approval of the royals, but might cause an uprising among the locals in the town. You can lead justly by pursuing your royal duties and throwing extravagant balls with the best music, apparel, and food. 

However, don’t expect to lead without a bit of drama. Banish outcast sims for dishonoring the family name and the kingdom because of abominable acts, or blackmail a sneaky sims. If they abide by your rules, keep their dirty secrets, but if not, tell the town everything! Commence a duel if two kingdoms just can’t get along. Winning will increase your status and make your sim the talk of the town, but losing will cause your sim to be a laughing-stock. 

No matter what you choose, power shifts can completely change the course of your story. Each destiny ends in fortune or fallout. So, you’ll have to figure out how to navigate your sims through these amazing or tragic experiences, which can give your stories more depth.

Moreover, you can have royal blood lines throughout all the worlds in the Sims 4, not just Ondarion. This expansion pass could also be good for legacy players who want to follow the story of one family line.
