The Twin Poets Are Coming Back to Atlantic Cape Community College
Twin Poets: Our Work, Our Words
The Twin Poets, Nnamdi Chukwuocha and Al Mills, are a powerful literary duo that harness their love for the written and spoken word with their dedication to service in the community, to their families and country. Named the 17th Poets Laureate for the State of Delaware in 2015, the Twin Poets will share their newly curated project: United Sounds rooted in the challenges and opportunities of the African American experience. The first 25 current students will receive a free copy of the Twin Poets’ book. This performance is free and open to the public.

Support the Jersey Girls Exhibit at the African-American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey in Newtonville
A group exhibit titled "Jersey Girls" will be on display from February 1 - April 30, 2024 at the African-American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Center at 661 Jackson Road in Newtonville. This is the fourth time the museum has hosted a "Jersey Girls" exhibit highlighting the work of local artists.
The museum routinely supports talented artists by providing them with gallery opportunities. The "Jersey Girls" exhibit, organized by founder and president Ralph E. Hunter, Sr., will include artwork by established and emerging artists in the local art community. The artwork of the women included in this exhibit represents the rich diversity of artistic talent available in our area.
The artists are: Nastassia Davis, Kandice Fields, Jasmine Haines, Heather Deegan Hires, Randi Meekins, Glynnis Reed, Chanelle René, Sydnéi Smith Jordan, Simone and Hazel Levy Washington.
