ATLANTIC CITY – Atlantic City’s senior residents enjoyed an evening of elegance, music and community during the annual Friendship & Love Valentine’s Ball held Friday, February 13, 2026.

Hosted by the city’s Senior Services division, the event — formerly known as the Senior Gala — welcomed hundreds of residents ages 55 and older to the Grand Ballroom at The Claridge Hotel. The ballroom was transformed into a Valentine’s-themed celebration, decorated in festive red and pink accents to match the spirit of the occasion.

Guests arrived dressed for the celebration, many wearing shades of red and pink, and spent the evening dining, dancing and reconnecting with friends. Music kept the dance floor active throughout the night, while raffle prizes and photo booths added to the festivities.

To ensure accessibility, the city provided transportation to and from local senior residential buildings, allowing more residents to participate in the annual event.

Mayor Marty Small Sr. and the Atlantic City Senior Services division continue to prioritize programming that supports engagement and social connection among the city’s older adults. Events such as the Valentine’s Ball are designed to promote wellness, reduce isolation and celebrate the contributions of Atlantic City’s senior community.
