Dog Waste Stations Get New Signs

ATLANTIC CITY — If you’ve ever stepped in dog waste you might appreciate one of the resort’s recent quality of life improvements.

The Department of Public Works is installing signage at dog walk stations throughout the city to encourage people to clean up after their pets.

“Residents need to have pride in our parks, and cleaning up after your pet is a great way to show that pride,” said Public Works Director Crystal Lewis. “We’ve heard the complaints that owners are leaving pet waste on the ground, and to address this matter, we’re trying to do what we can to provide our residents with the proper tools.”

All parks are expected to have signs at each station by spring, Lewis said.
